Founded in Sandusky, Ohio in 1977, Erie Residential Living, Inc. is a private not-for-profit organization established to provide exceptional residential services to individuals with developmental disabilities. Erie Residential Living, Inc. has experienced tremendous growth over the past 42 years. Erie Residential Living opened it's doors to eight women living in one home, to providing to over 30 individuals in Erie County. Although Erie Residential Living, Inc. owns and provides services in two licensed homes (24 hour support), we also provide services to people in their own homes and apartments. In fact, most of the individuals served by Erie Residential Living, Inc. live in their own home or apartment. We are all one big family and treat each other with the utmost respect. We strive every day to enrich the lives of the individuals we are fortunate enough to serve. 

Our mission is to give each individual an opportunity and environment to achieve their highest potential. We offer help to people by developing skills to enrich their personal relationships, lifestyles, and community involvement. The pursuit of personal interest in educational, vocational, leisure and recreational areas is also encouraged. These opportunities are supported by finding a residential setting where each person can succeed in our community. This can be an apartment, a shared living home with supervision, or a home of their own choice.
